In 1989, James Boyce entered the real estate industry with a simple philosophy: work harder than anyone else, treat every client like family, and never cut corners. Over the next two decades, James built a reputation as one of Montreal’s most trusted real estate professionals — one handshake, one deal, one satisfied client at a time.
35+ years later, James is still in the business and still a part of the team. His market experience and dedication to clients remain at the foundation of everything we do.
In 2009, James’s son Logan joined the team. Where James built on relationships, Logan saw the potential to build something bigger — a real estate operation powered by systems, training, mentorship, and leverage.
Logan didn’t come in with a ready-made network. As a 20-year-old, he had to learn how to create something from nothing. He picked up the phone, learned to cold call, and built his business from scratch. In his peak production year, Logan personally closed 76 transactions — proving that with the right systems and relentless work ethic, anything is possible.
That experience gave him a vision: build a team where any agent, regardless of their starting point, could achieve extraordinary results.
The team was originally called Team Boyce. But Logan made a deliberate decision to change the name. He didn’t want agents to feel like they were building someone else’s brand — he wanted them to feel like they were building something for themselves.
Montreal’s Elite Real Estate Group was born from that philosophy: a team where every agent has ownership over their success, backed by the mentorship, administration, accountability, and systems to make it happen.
Logan’s best friend, Jonathan Ehrlick, moved from Toronto to join him and help build something truly special. Together, they’ve created one of Montreal’s most dynamic real estate teams.

In 2015, Logan was diagnosed with a golf ball-sized brain tumor. Six years later, thanks to the extraordinary skill of the doctors at the Montreal Neurological Institute — specifically Dr. Petrecca’s research department — Logan’s life was saved from an aggressively fast-growing tumor.
That experience changed everything. Every year, Montreal’s Elite Real Estate Group donates tens of thousands of dollars to the Montreal Neurological Institute and hosts community events to support Dr. Petrecca’s research. It’s personal. It’s permanent. And it’s a reminder of what truly matters.
